Last week, yeah I know I am late but I had a busy week, Water for People had a Softball tourney that a bunch of companies in the HRM area participated in. My employer was among them.
It was a blast, just like last year the sun was shining, the balls were flying, and the beer was flowing. I don’t think that I know how to play ball without beer.
The ball game took place on the
Halifax Commons and started at 9am, which is a god-awful early morning on a Saturday, but I made it. Our team wasn’t very successful, but it turned out that our pool was the toughest. I like to think that if we were in the other pool we would have at least made it to the semis.

What kind of league do you play in?
Hey, slowpitch! We got a team together this year, and we’re struggling a bit, but it’s all good. I think we’re doing just fine for a team full of 19 year olds.
9:00 on a Saturday is just cruel though!
We play ours on Wednesday nights, and a couple weeks ago we were playing after midnight.
It was a Parks and Rec 18+ men's league. It was pretty fun though, except when we got beat by a score like 27-4..
